I would just like to congratulate Ruud on moving the site so quickly and successfully to its new home. I'm sure it will go from strength to strength in the coming months.

I am searching for anyone who might have the following items by Paul Mauriat.
Usignolo/El Divorcio 45-single released in 1957 on the "RGM" Label (RGM-1106)and an EP by Paul Mauriat using the name "WILLY TWIST" (BEL-AIR 221-113M)from 1962. If anyone has these items I ask if they would help me by making a CD of the songs for me because these are the last six songs that I need to complete my Paul Mauriat French collection of music.
I also see that there is no mention of Paul Mauriat nor is there a discography shown for him. I am a very serious Mauriat collector and to date I have over 1000 of his records, from 37 countries, I would gladly allow the society access to my collection to take photos of the covers and put them on their website. If anyone can help me with my request for the six songs that I am seeking or they are interested in putting my Paul Mauriat on the site, for all to view (none of my collection is for sale)please do not hesitate to contact me at my e-mail address.
Best Regards

Can I just thank David Ades from the bottom of my heart for such a fabulous job compiling and notating Ron Goodwins tribute album on Studio Two. So many forgotten sounds from my childhood came tumbling back after more than forty years! All this and a stereo recording of Rons 633 Sqadron love theme to boot!It all echoes my youth when pop music had no place for me but the themes from the films I saw at the Odeon every week stayed vividly in my consciousness for years.Once again David my deepest thanks

I have known the name and music of Robert Farnon for a long a time. It was with delight that I found a bought a CD last week and found this website as a result.

It is wonderful to know that so many like-minded music lovers are out there. I shall be joining the society.

Great site. I grew up listening to Frank Chacksfield, George Melachrino, Stanly Black and others on the radion in the 50's, 60's and then the radio stations stopped playing this wonderful music. I have a large collection of records and have the latest CD'S of re-releases of this type of light music. I am glad that a lot of the originals are being released on CD'S.

You have an excellent website which is very informative. However, the constant forwarding from "Wally Stott" to the home page every few seconds is extremely annoying. I can only read about 1 sentence at a time before I am clicked to the other page. Perhaps, this is an error. Either way it's truly annoying. Hope you can correct this. Otherwise, a terrific website.

I have a record album I have carried around all over the world, recorded by a pianist named Ray Hartley, in 1958, called "The Trembling of a Leaf and The Sound of the Sea" with David Terry and His Orchestra.
RCA Victor Living Stereo LSP-1659.
I played it so many times there may be holes in the vinyl. Most blessedly, thanks to the Internet, I was able to find another copy and copied that to CD. Beyond a doubt, it is my all-time favorite - his piano is so delicate and romantic. I only know of one other album he recorded. I think you should consider his recordings on your website, or at least enjoy his music if you can find it.
Thank you for your website - I shall book mark it. Patt A. Ray Hartley was Australian

Those out there in the Chicago-Milwaukee area of the USA are invited to catch the Music of the Stars (now in its twelfth year) each Sunday morning over WLIP AM 1050, which features the great and lesser-known musical lights of both performance and composing, and light music is always a program mainstay. Thanks!
